ISO 21001:2018 specifies guidelines for a management system for educational organizations (EOMS), through which these organizations can demonstrate the achievement and development of competence through teaching, learning, or research. This standard is primarily a standard of management process for administering large and complex educational organizations. It appears to take a highly standardizing approach to educational organizations, treating them as universally comparable and manageable through the same best practices. Similar to other ISO management system standards, it follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, enabling organizations to understand their context while accentuating leadership and social responsibility. Ultimately, an educational organization having a compliant ISO 21001 management system will help to build such culture which will support to achieve objectives and goals of the organizations.
